-Chukwuma Soludo becomes newly elected governor of Anambra State
Chukwuma Soludo is now the newly elected governor of Anambra state as announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
He will replace Willie Obiano, who will complete his governorship tenor in March.
The triumph of the competitor of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) was fixed after the advantageous political race in Ihiala’s nearby government region on Tuesday, November 9, 2021, as reported by Punch.
The gathering of results from the first November 6 political decision had been suspended days prior after it was found democratic didn’t happen in Ihiala because of ‘safety danger’.
Soludo was driving with 103,946 votes, trailed by Valentine Ozigbo of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who got 51,322 votes before the gathering was ended.
Soludo was proclaimed victor of the political decision by the returning officer, Professor Florence Banku Obi, in the early long periods of Wednesday, November 10.
After the finish of the assemblage of results late on Tuesday, Soludo secured the political decision, true to form, with 112,229 votes, subsequent to winning Ihiala LGA with 8,283 votes.
Ozigbo won 2,485 votes and completed the political decision in runner-up with 53,807 votes.
