In acknowledgment of Nigeria’s first president, Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe, the Anambra State government has declared Tuesday, November 16, 2021, as a public event as demonstrated by an assertion by the state justice for Information and Public Enlightenment, Mr. C. Don Adinuba.

This specified day is to honor Nigeria’s first president, Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe, who was birthed to the world on November 16, 1904, as reported by dailpost

Don Adinuba said in the assertion delivered in the interest of Obiano: “It was the Great Zik of Africa who propelled such extraordinary Pan-African pioneers as Dr. Kwame Nkrumah of Ghana who drove his country to independence from the frontier rule on March 6, 1957.”

Anambra State Governor, Chief Willie Obiano had in earlier years approached the central government to perceive the date as a cross country open occasion, to pay tribute to Azikiwe’s commitment to Nigeria.

This year marks the third year the Anambra State government, under Obiano would be noticing the birthday commemoration.

Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe led Nigeria to freedom on October 1, 1960, and is prominently known as The Great Zik of Africa on account of his exceptional Pan-African vision and responsibility.
