Martin Short spends his early life with his parents Olive Hayter (Mother) was a concertmaster and Charles Patrick Short (father) was a businessman in the Steel Company of Canada.

Martin Short’s mother died when he was 18 years old in 1968. During his father’s death, he was 20 years old in 1970. Charles Patrick Short and Olive Hayter have 5 children “David Short, Michael Short, Brian Short, and daughter Nora Short. Martin Short was the youngest child.

Martin Short’s big brother died in a car accident when he was 12 years old in 1962. During all this Martin completes his early schooling at Westdale Secondary School and graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from McMaster University in 1971.
